Gyeongsangbuk-do (governor: Kim Gwan-yong) announced a plan to hold a competition on November 5-16 for the distribution of copies of the 2015 Dokdo Calendar overseas. The event will be held through Cyber Dokdo (wwwkdo.go.kr).
In the 2015 Dokdo Calendar, Gyeongsangbuk-do will feature the ersity of Dokdo, such as through tourist ination on Ulleungdo and Dokdo and photos of Dokdos natural views/ecology and those featuring the lives of the locals (residents, guards, and tourists), which will also show Dokdos cultural and artistic side. The calendar thus aims to promote the beautiful Dokdo Islands as part of the Korean territory.
All nationals can participate in the competition for the overseas distribution of Dokdo Calendar, and the winners will receive copies of the calendars from Gyeongsangbuk-do for distribution to their foreigner and overseas friends.
The applicants for the competition are required to submit their domestic addresses and the names of the foreigners they are targeting to be the recipients of the calendars they will send (name, occupation, reason for the gift) through the Cyber Dokdo website (wwwkdo.go.kr). The winners will be sent up to three calendars per person early in December, via their domestic addresses.
