On December 15, a rotable symposium was held at Kyungpook National University to discuss policies and laws for the territorial domain of Dokdo.
“To address the problems surroing the national policy for Dokdo, there is a need to come up with a special act about Dokdo, and to provide guidelines regarding such matter.
Gyeongsangbuk-do (governor: Kim Gwan-yong) held a rotable meeting on the legal problems surroing the territorial domain of Dokdo in the Global Plaza Seminar Room of Kyungpook National University. Thirty personnel attended the meeting, including professors and experts on international laws, and relevant government officials.
In the meeting, with regard to the governments announcement last month of the deferral of the construction of Dokdo Support Center, solutions to the Dokdo policy were discussed from the viewpoint of international laws, and Gyeongsangbuk-dos role in the execution of the territorial domain of Dokdo was passionately discussed by experts.
